Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who set up in business.
Now the first little pig built his business on price, figuring that he could be cheapest in the market. But the second little pig was smarter and he built his business on novelty, deciding that he would be first to market with every new gadget.
But the third little pig was the smartest of all, and he built his business based on brand, determining to develop strong relationships with his customers.
And when the Big Bad Wolf of recession came huffing and puffing, he blew down the business based on price, and he blew down the business based on novelty. And he huffed and he puffed, and he puffed and he huffed, but he couldn’t blow down the business based on brand.
For brand-built businesses are stronger.
